Editorial Standards

Calm doesn't mean careless. These are the rules every N.A.N.A. story, explainer, issue and video follows.

Sourcing

Every news item links to a named, credible source: government agencies such as the Bureau of Meteorology, NOAA, Geoscience Australia and state departments; research bodies such as CSIRO and universities; peer-reviewed journals; and established news outlets. We don't invent events, quotes or statistics, and we never write "sources say". If a fact isn't in the source, it isn't in the story. We write in our own words and link back, rather than copying other people's reporting.

Labelled opinion

Facts and opinion are kept apart. The reported part of a story comes first. Opinion appears only under the label "Nana's Take", in that nana's voice, and is clearly marked as opinion. A Nana's Take can ask questions and poke at things. It can't add new facts.

AI disclosure

N.A.N.A. presenters are AI characters. Every story links to its source.

The nanas and the Bungalow23 hosts are original AI characters. Their voices and faces are generated. The stories they present are written from real, linked sources and checked by a person before anything is published. Nothing publishes automatically.

Creator videos

We feature some independent YouTube creators on our Desks We Follow page and alongside related stories. We use only YouTube's official embeds and links, and we credit the creator by name and channel every time. We never download, re-upload, clip or re-voice their videos. These creators are not partners of N.A.N.A. and featuring them doesn't imply they endorse us, or we them. Their interpretive takes are their own view, and we always pair them with the official data: NOAA SWPC and Bureau of Meteorology Space Weather Services, Geoscience Australia and USGS, and Bureau of Meteorology warnings.

Bungalow23 is not medical advice

Bungalow23 is about body awareness. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it makes no cure or treatment claims. B23 pieces cite credible health sources such as Healthdirect, the NHMRC and peer-reviewed research. Every piece closes with the same line, and we mean it: Talk to your GP or health professional about your own body.

Archive Editions

Back issues compiled in 2026 are labelled "Archive Edition" on the cover and their page. They're built only from real events and sources from that quarter, and they are never presented as the original print runs. Original scans are marked as originals.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and we'd rather hear about it. If you spot an error, email corrections@naturalawarenessnewsagency.com with the page and what needs fixing. We'll check it against the source and, if it's wrong, fix it and add a dated correction note to the story within 48 hours.
