G2. That's moderate, and it's a watch. Not a promise.
On the 26th, NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center said clouds of material that left the sun on the 25th, plus a fast stream from a coronal hole, could stir things up. They put out a G1 watch for the 27th and G2 for the 28th and 29th.
Those days are in UTC, mind. Add ten hours and you've got our evenings of the 28th and 29th, with the tail running into the 30th.
A G2 can nudge the aurora further from the pole than usual. From the Manning, that might mean a soft glow low in the south, if the sky's clear and there's no moon in the way. Might. Bring a jumper and low expectations. If you see nothing, you've still had a lovely night out.
