Danish pork in the burrito. Hundreds of tonnes of it, darl, under a sign that says Australian produce.

Guzman y Gomez confirmed it buys pork from both Australia and Denmark, depending on what it calls seasonal quality, availability and pricing. A Victorian pig farmer, Tim Kingma, says that reasoning doesn't wash at all. Rob Farmer from Australian Pork calls it imported meat hiding in plain sight. Last year Australia brought in 167,000 tonnes of pork and pig meat, worth just over a billion dollars. Farmers reckon more than 40 per cent of what we eat is from overseas. Nine in ten of us, in their survey, want the origin shown on the menu.

Here's the gap. Seafood has to say where it's from, even in a restaurant. Pork doesn't. The chains don't have to write it on the board, so they don't. The pork people want the seafood rule copied across. The minister was asked. No answer yet.

Now. I've written Made with Love on a thousand cakes and every one of them was true. If it's Danish, write Danish. It's a word. I can pipe it in under a minute.
