At least eight of the underperformers got their original SPF certification from one lab, Princeton Consumer Research. Ultra Violette's Lean Screen scored above 60 there. Choice got 4. In one Cancer Council test, nine of ten volunteers came back with identical results. The head of operations at another testing institute said he'd never seen results that uniform in his career.
The lab says its subjects just happened to be consistent. Righto.
I'm not accusing anyone, love. I'm asking. When so many brands lean on one lab's paperwork, who checks the lab? And why did it take a consumer group to start the asking?
