Less fruit, more biscuits. That's where the CSIRO reckons we're heading by 2030.

They used Healthy Diet Score survey data from more than 270,000 Australians over nine years. The modelling says fruit intake drops 9.7 per cent and 'sometimes' foods climb 18.3 per cent. We already eat about four serves of those a day. The national goal is to get discretionary food from over 30 per cent of our energy to under 20.

Now, I fill in surveys too, and I'm a shocking liar about Tim Tams. So I'd like to know how much of this is what people ate and how much is what they owned up to.

Still, nine years is a long look. I've put the fruit bowl back where I can see it.
