Nany Maree

Two in three women say they've met medical misogyny. I believe them.

One woman, Debra Clare, was told "it's just stress and anxiety". Her heart attack went undiagnosed for more than a year. Endometriosis takes about seven years to diagnose on average, and nearly a million Australian women live with it at some point. In the US, women weren't required in clinical trials until 1993.

I sat on a front desk for twenty years. Most of the doctors I worked with were kind and run off their feet. I still saw plenty of women leave with "stress" written down.

So here's my question, love. If the trials left women out until 1993, how much of the evidence on the shelf was ever about us?
