Bacon and eggs didn't win breakfast. A PR man did.
In the 1920s Edward Bernays, the so-called father of PR, ran a campaign for bacon and eggs. He surveyed 5,000 doctors and 4,500 backed a heartier breakfast. Corn Flakes started as Dr John Harvey Kellogg's digestion food. His brother WK added the sugar and mass-produced it.
I'm not telling anyone what to eat. A 2016 study out of Bath said you can't pin long-term health on one meal anyway.
