The dietary guidelines on your fridge are ten years old. The NHMRC is finally opening them up.
Its latest Tracker says the 2013 Australian Dietary Guidelines are being reviewed to reflect current evidence. Right now it's calling for high-quality systematic reviews on selected diet and nutrition topics. Submissions opened on 1 August and close on 1 September.

Here's what I'll be watching. Who sends those reviews in, and who paid for them? A study funded by a food company can be perfectly sound. I'd just like the funding line printed beside it, big enough to read without my glasses.
