FSANZ says the WHO has reaffirmed the acceptable daily intake. Its CEO, Dr Sandra Cuthbert, called it good news and said our standards are appropriate and current. The cancer agency's monograph gets one mention in the statement: that it was released.
Now, I'm not saying the sweetener's dangerous. I don't drink the diet stuff anyway. That's just me.
But when two reports land together, I'd like both summed up in plain English, not just the comfortable one. So I've gone looking for the other one myself.
