Under fifty in April. Under sixty now. I'm keeping a list on the fridge.
ATAGI now recommends AstraZeneca for people sixty and over, with Pfizer opened up to 40 to 59 year olds. Of 3.8 million AstraZeneca doses given, sixty people developed the rare clotting disorder and two died. Twelve of those cases came in the past week, seven of them aged fifty to fifty-nine.
Paul Kelly says anyone who had a first dose without trouble should feel confident about the second.
I'm not here to scare anyone. Those are rare numbers and they're on the page. My gripe is the 815,000 people in their fifties who already had a first dose. Who rings them and walks them through it? A press conference isn't a phone call, love.
