The TGA has granted AstraZeneca a provisional determination for its COVID-19 vaccine. That means the company can now apply for provisional registration, a faster track for promising medicines with preliminary clinical data. The TGA says plainly it does not mean the vaccine will be approved.
Then came an update. Along with a number of overseas regulators, the TGA is reviewing preliminary data on the vaccine's safety.
